Living just blocks from the beach in Ponce Inlet, FL I am thankful to be able to do something that I love: Photograph surfers! My photography work has been published in “Locals Only” surf magazine, May/June 2010 issue. The swells in Ponce Inlet fluctuate due to the weather. But no matter what the size you will almost always see committed surfers of all ages at the jetty.
During the warm summer months, especially during Hurricane season when the swells are known to increase dramatically, you will see a a massive increase in surfers, for example during Hurricane Bill a few years back Ponce was flooded with surfers that traveled for miles throughout the country to catch waves that at times exceeded 12ft.
